I support this petition. This road is used as a cut through for many drivers who are keen to avoid nearby traffic lights and shave a few seconds off their journey time. As a result, I frequently witness drivers failing to drive at a safe speed despite the fact many children live on this road or use it to make their way to the local schools and colleges.

Drivers just need to slow down and show some consideration. It's not difficult.

We are a rat run. It's only a matter of time before a child is killed by speeding cars!

Reigate Road is the centre of rat-run avoiding the busy Dyke Road. Because it is a long straight road drivers often speed. It is also a community of families with children and a busy route to local schools and colleges. It's only a matter of time before someone is killed or injured. This could easily be avoided with inexpensive traffic-calming measures - some of which could be funded by the community if the council gave us permission. Please support this petition. Help us give priority to people not cars.

I live on Reigate Road and due to the fact that is such a long and straight road it is used like a runway, more often than not cars are exceeding 20 mph limit. This is a road with many children so lets make it safer for them.

We have visited my cousin in Reigate Road and the traffic is appalling. Far too much and far too fast. It poses a danger to the elderly and the young. Please consider traffic calming/alternative roads for access BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE TO.

I spend a lot of time at home in Reigate Road and I am astounded at and concerned by the speed that vehicles travel down this road. This has to stop. This road is used by many pedestrians and children and it simply isn't safe. I would welcome any official to spend the morning or afternoon in my front room watching the traffic! Please take this with the seriousness it deserves.

Reigate Road is used as a rat road to avoid traffic lights on Dyke Road with no consideration for the safety of residents and children. Pls do everything you can to stop this!
