Our family Home is right below the railway reserve and no way is it safe.. there will be traffic through that area and WOULD be dangerous for kids walking to and from school! Way to dangerous and risky.. loosing a child or getting to work 2 minutes quicker? Get your priorities straight!

Moving the State highway will not give another route into Nelson, it will just move the problem. Rocks Rd Needs to stay as a mian route, even if the Southern Link gets pushed through. The state highway was on Rocks Rd when people bought their houses, they knew they had bought on a busy road. Council want to pedestrianise Rocks Rd, that is taking away a link into the city, not helping at all.

this will just create more danger for cycles and pedestrians , not to mention numerous expert opinons that sugest the soutern victory link is a not fesible. pure election year bridery.

Nelson doesn't have a traffic problem (which is apparently what would warrant the Southern link). The proposed highway leads through a residential area including schools. It is extensively used every day by commuters on their bikes and school children to get to Nayland College, NIS, Broadgreen and Victory school. It is a safe way for cyclists and children. It's also a piece of nature in the city and houses many animals like wetas and birds...it should be a protected reserve. It is an asset to Nelson and should not be destroyed. Thank you

This road was cancelled in 2004 by the Environment Court due to issue with pollution. Why the govt still promotes this road nobody knows.

Moving it from one area to another is not going to solve anything. IF Tahunanui school complain about the trucks why should Victory school have it right on their door step?

I angry that the local MP Nick Smith continually raises the issue of this road after it was vetoed by the Environment Court in 2004.
Why do we have to revisit this struggle? A democratic legal decision was made

The need for this proposed highway is diminishing and could be further changed by using other solutions for the huge truck that would be barrelling along this highway. Other options should be explored such as using sea routes to transport the logs or produce to the port. No need to destroy a fine community through this road
