As the United States of America, we are known as a world super power. At the same time, we show no compassion or mercy for our animals that are lost or don't have homes. Many shelters claim to be "no kill", but find it easier to destroy their animals in large amounts quickly rather than to care for them. Many shelters claim that they have no room, when, in fact, most cages are empty. The US is killing healthy, innocent dogs and cats by stuffing many at a time into a large, dirty, clostrophobic metal container. Toxic gas is pumped into the box, where the animal, along with may others, will suffocate to death. Then, a next batch of dogs or cats are brought in and murdered, right on top of the other ones! EVERY 6 seconds, an animal in the United States suffers a long and painful death. Please, anyone who has a heart, sign this petition to stop this inhumane mass murder of such gentle creatures!
