stop the Siargao International Airport.

I have never been to siargao but i would not want it to be another boracay. I am for preserving the serenity of its nature.

Please don’t build the international airport. Try to understand that people who love this island and live there need a functioning health care, waste management and so much more. That little paradise on earth shouldn’t get ruined..

Sustainable tourism is a much necessary strategy that MUST be planned out for places as appealing as Siargao. The Philippines does not have the plans nor resources yet to execute this for the island, and must first prioritize the needs of the locals.

Construction of the international airport is not the priority at this moment. Hospitals/healthcare, education, proper waste management etc should be prioritized.

I am pro this petition because I saw the current state of boracay and el nido it is a far cry from the beauty it used to be. Though I am planning to visit siargao next yr I believe they don't need hoards of tourists to come and destroy their own paradise.

I've been traveling in and out of siargao for 20 years just to surf. Don't do this to our second home

We need to preserve the natural features of Siargao, and making an international airport in the island is not gonna help. A lot of beautiful uslands in PH are modernized already and have lost its essence. Making an intl airport will only be a step closer to modernizing the island. People who does not understand the culture and way of life would just come for the sake of coming and might ignorantly disrespect how siargao is. If people wants to go to siargao and enjoy the island, might as well rnjoy it by living its natural and unspoiled way of life.

Let them live their peaceful lives in that island.

Siargao is such a wonderful place, indeed a home far away from home. I hope the island will remain as what it was and what it should be, legit island life and hopefully the boosting tourism will not destroy its vibe and serenity
