I’m against this project. This island is so beautiful and I don’t to ruin it and so as the people lives there. It should be preserve so stop doing this stupid ass project! #STOPSIARGAOINTERNATIONALAIRPORT

One of the things that makes Siargao special is its not easy to get here which means it attracts the people that really appreciate and care for the island, even since the Manila flights with skyjet started and extra Cebu flights we've watched the numbers grow, trash grow and accidents and people seeking accurate medical attention grow, soo many things are more important, like street lights, street signs/ reflectors on corners, a hospital that is sufficiently equipt to suit the common injuries and health problems associated with the island, proper waste management facility, and the list goes on we can't just ruin this beautiful island that soo many people care about

Please think about the preserving the island and its people and community first. This is home to many people. While the idea of tourism and money might sound good to politicians and local governments it is not going to help the island sustain itself. Look at how fast boracay island was taken over by commercialism, foreign businesses who exploit the island, and became a party island In which people don't even care about the beauty anymore. There is almost no green left on boracay. If we aren't careful siargao this will happen too.

Siargao should be a protected nature reserve not a tourist island. Learn from Boracay.

Priorities for financial allocation for the island should be well thought of (as a humane human being). Basic goal and question should be "Will this be beneficial (with respect to) for the island and the people living in it?" And should not just for monetary gains.
If this petition will be heard by the system, then I'll be more inspired to live and see progress within my lifetime.
