Before I start a business there and build a home for my family there, we need to address these social issues (better healthcare, safer roads, clean water, etc) to make Siargao a safer, cleaner and better place to live in for all.

Siargao is perfect the way it is now. If there's anything that the island needs is proper health institutions and better infrastructure, not an international airport. Do not ruin what is already a beautiful paradise.

I severely oppose the creation of an international airport in Siargao, the little untapped gem of an island that I call home. What is more dire now more than ever is - proper streetlights, traffic lights, better signage on the roads, basically overall improvement to the roads where accidents are prone. More importantly also, Siargao needs basic healthcare, a proper hospital in the village of General Luna and not have to go all the way to Dapa or Surigao for medical attention. Please do not go ahead with this project, it will ruin the island for locals and tourists alike. Let's focus on developing the island before we decide to put more people on it and put them in danger.

Focus on other projects that are beneficial to the island people!!! Not our own selfish gain!!

Its not being selfish but its about conserving the island. We all know what happen to the beautiful island boracay, and we dont want that to happen to siargao. Ive been living in siargao for almost a year before and the one thing i love about the island is vibe of the community. People know each other, friends of one another, have unity, so friensly, eco lover, resperct the island. And bringing tourist to it, where some just want to party / hook up, go to tourist spots and dont know how to properly dispose their garbage, or even just cant manage to help the island conserve is just as upsetting as thinking it would become like boracay, too much people, scam prices, etc. So plsssss before this international airport shiz, maybe build a better hospital and schools first.

This island doesn't deserve or need this on their island. The authorities could use the money being spent on the contemperary airport to, rather, give the community back their basic rights and commodities that are absolutely essential for the people of this minescule yet mighty island

Allocate the money to better services for the Siargao people.

We should focus first in more important matters such as proper waste management, hospitals, and educating the locals and tourists on how to respect keep our nature's beauty. Building an international airport may follow through after such items above are being implemented properly.
