One step at a time. Let Siargao and its beautiful people adapt to the changes now that its tourism is growing rapidly. An international airport is too fast and too much to handle as of now. We dont want another boracay to happen , do we?

There are already ways to get to the island for a visit without a huge international airport. Not every spot should be turned into an insane tourist attraction. This is one spot that should stay the peaceful way it is.

We don't need an international airport - we need better management of the ecosystem to esnsure that tourism stays viable in this island in the long term, not just for now, so our children and their childrens' children are able to benefit from
the natural beauty of this island.

Siargao is always going to be loved, respected and visited by those of us that know it's charm. And we will always come back, no matter how easy or difficult it is to get to. But if things like this happen, you risk a huge influx of disrespectful, self-centred people who will quickly destroy everything that the locals and lovers are so enamoured with.
