Couldn't be a more ridiculous idea. It's like watching the destruction of paradise in real time. Profits over people. Build a damn hospital before you do anything else. The island already has an ungodly number of flights everyday. Way too many tourists and no waste management plan. The island will be destroyed before you finish the airport. Get someone incharge who understands responsible development and values locals first and the future generations of this amazing island.

This is not necessary! How many flights come in daily through Sayak? Enough! So many people coming in and not enough going out. A hospital needs to be considered much more than this! Unacceptable.

Siargao doesn't need more trash. Prioritize hospitals, housing for locals and education for kids. Please respect the locals decision. It's been their home since they were born, respect their home.

Siargao has a lot of humanity needs an international airport is definetly not one of them. The island can’t handle more tourism and bigger gaps between the poor and the rich philippinos. Stop destroying this beautiful island because of avarice.

Siargao doesn't need an international airport. Period. Tourists visit the island because of its natural beauty and calmness it brings. Expanding the airport and bringing more people in, would cause destruction to the island and more waste. What the people really need is sustainable tourism income without making the island a concrete jungle and swarm of tourists.

I come to Siargao very often in y childhood, because my mam is from there. I really love Siargao and consider it as my second home, cause it gave me a home and brought me closer to nature. Siargao is the reason why i study environment. Please stop this construction and commercialize everything for tourist there. Tourist should adapt to the environment of Siargao not the other way round!!!
