Action petition for: SERBO-AUSTRALIAN INFORMATION AND WELFARE CENTRE, 102 CALEDONIAN AVE, MAYLANDS, WA.
We, the community members from former Yugoslavia, petition the Hon. Bill J. Johnston MLA.
Because of the lack of support from the government authorities we are trying to save our community asset from being sold by Nikolic family, who made the decision to sell community property without any consultation with community members. Many of our members worked hard and donated money and many hours of voluntary work at this centre.
We the undersigned demand that Hon. Bill J. Johnston MLA take this action seriously and take necessary steps to stop this sale.

stop seling and open the door for all people who wants to be a member and enjoy in many activities which is possible to organize in this place...
Petitions generally have little effect.i would be looking to establish a legal third party interest, and like DJ said, place a caveat. Further, seek action from relevant MPs, ministers and their shadow counterparts who will hold them to account.
This always belonged to the Serbian community and it should be returned. Open your both eyes, not just the one....
Why not just put a caveat on the property if there is proof of interest by third parties......
Ne dozvolite da jedno privatno lice proda ono sto je zajednicka imovina i time izbrise trud svih clanova koji su pomagali. Centar treba da ostane i bude mesto okupljanja a ne privatni stan!

It would be a disgrace for a comunity center like this to be closed down ,when it can help us to grow closer as a community and get future generations to remember their roots and have where to gather and learn about our traditions.
