Keep the field, the county needs to do more for the people in the county and the county as well. instead of the “officials” in office worrying about their self and what they can get or take advantage of from people in the county etc!

The field shouldn’t be sold due to the fact that it’s been around for a great amount of time and housed many soccer events throughout the years. Soccer needs to be kept alive on its own field and not pushed aside for other sports/activities. The cooperation of multiple sports on a singular field never worked due to scheduling and time of year the sports were played.

As a former soccer player myself, we should NOT be okay with the selling of the field! It’s home to the Morgan County Cougar Soccer. There are many memories shared on the field alone besides soccer. For years football was held, all the sorghum bowls held there, all the activities held for our youth held there, ALL the memories are priceless.
I personally think it would be disrespectful to the Herdman family to sell the field. Put some money into our youth!! Fix the wall, continue to let generations of kids make memories on that field! Don’t take that away from the kids. Our soccer teams need that field, it wouldn’t be fair to either football or soccer to share a field. It would cut into time for both teams. We as a county need to think of our children at this time. Think of the youth, not money!!
