Northwestern already “owns” Evanston. This is another one of their diabolical attempts to bring concerts with 35,000 people into our residential neighborhood.

Tearing down Ryan Field is a foolish waste of money and detrimental to the entire community.

The Evanston land-use commission of independent experts evaluated this stadium proposal and voted overwhelmingly that it was unrealistic and would engender indefinite disruption to the community. If the experts agree this is an ill-conceived project, why does mayor ignore the reality of the situation and volunteer to put the city of Evanston in such an intenable situation? All of Northwestern's promises of money to the city of Evanston can't change the reality that this proposal is doomed to fail.

Spending this much money on a new stadium seems both wasteful & ecologically harmful to Evanstonians.

I am signing this because NU's prioritization of football over education is offensive. Ryan can find another patch of lake front for his vanity project and leave NU alone.

This project is a hypocritical swindle of Evanston by Northwestern University and its donors and trustees, aided and abetted by members of the City Council and Mayor Biss.

The ecologically rational and historically respectful way forward is for Northwestern to revamp its landmark stadium to fit future needs. Don't tear this important structure down!
