I think the family should be more involved in all the decision making and work hand in hand with directors.

Respect the wishes of Aaliyah's immediate family. God knows Aaliyah is and always will be my favorite artist ever but I cannot watch this if the family is not a part of the agreement to make the movie. Also, nothing against the young lady they want to cast as far as her talent but I do not think she is the cast type who can play Aaliyah as far as looks go. Although she is mixed and considered black. She doesn't look as beautiful as Aaliyah's African American. I honestly thought this Zeyanda girl was of some Spanish mixed ethnicity looking at her features. Whether the movie is made or not I won't be watching it if those things are not changed. Especially if Aaliyah's mom and family are not on board with this production. R.I.P Beautiful Aaliyah. We miss you & love you!

I don't understand how you can ignore Aaliyah's family's wish. They lost their daughter and sister in the most tragic way. Even though it has been a while since Aaliyah's death you have to understand the pain they have been through.

You cannot play the amazing Aaliyah just because you sort of pulled off one look from her. Zendaya looks nothing like her, and in order for this movie to be accurate, she would have to ooze Aaliyah as an actress; that means personality, her ways, EVERYTHING. & she can't do that w/o the help of the Haughton family, which whom are not behind this movie!

How can you make a movie about someone's life with out giving the people who played a major role in the persons life some input and direction. It also makes sence to cast some on that actually looks like the character the actor is playing

i have to agree with the fact that its not fair that they are doing this movie without aaliyah's mom or brother consent. aaliyah's family shouldnt have to relive that experience all over again
