If Aaliyah's family doesn't approve of this...I definitely don't. They knew/know her better than anybody that is even involved in this (biopic and other). Rashad was with her most of the time and Aaliyah even said that her & her mother had a tight relationship, samething with her brother. If they ain't cool with this, then...THIS AIN'T COOL. It would only be right if her mother, brother, and her close ones were all involved in anything about her...The way this seems to be going, just isn't right....

I think that it is wrong b/c her family has not come out and said they are behind it or support it. Nobody has listen to the family in the past when it came to releasing her unheard music. They can at least respect them, if the family wants to stop the movie. I have been wanting an Aaliyah movie for a long time now, so i just want it done the right way!

let her rest in peace, zendaya is nowhere near what Aaliyah was, she looks nothing like her, what about keke Palmer or even ciara, someone who has history, out of all people you pick zendaya, that is the ut most disrespectful move in history, rip Aaliyah you will always be loved.

that girl zendaya can't sing or dance she is a wannabe aaliyah keshia chante looks way more like aaliyah and aaliyah is way more better looking than zendaya that girl zendaya need autotune to help her sing so keshia need to play that part because that is disrespectful to aaliyah family so no zendaya u need to stop just a wannabe

I believe the movie is a great idea, it allows not only the new generation to be aware of how wonderful Aaliyah was but the movie is also aspiring to upcoming artists. However, there is a slight concern with the casting the lead actress playing Aaliyah does not exemplify Aaliyah in any shape or form. Aaliyah was known for her style poise and her talent with more importance she was black. Its like making a movie about Oprah and having the actress playing oprah be biracial. I'm sure she is a good actress but not for this role. please consider.. Angela Simmons.. KeKe Palmer etc.
