Let AAliyah Rest in Piece. I stayed up crying all night when she passed. Iam now 26 and and still struggle with hearing her angelic voice withoutgetting teary eyed. No one needs to be reminded of her tragic death.She has so many people that love her so much, a part of her is still her with us. LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!

I totally agree with the petition. I also feel the actress chosen to play the role is NOT the best fit. This makes me second guess the production personnel behind the movie.

If Selena and Biggie can get the silver screen, Aaliyah should be able to as well! the family should have some kind of input on the film. How can we know intimate details about the star by exclusively obtaining info from her "co-workers" aka industry peers. Take a hint from the Selena film and inquire with her family. Plus, fans want to hear Aaliyah's music in the film, not another singer.

I am extremely disappointed & angry that someone could do this to aaliyahs mother & brother & I am also disappointed in the fact that zendaya got casted to play the role of aaliyah, shes a beautiful & talented actress/singer but if anyone is playing her role I think it should have been Tyreses girl Kristal she fit the part wayy better by far & it sucks that she didnt get the part because of the piano mans mess up... all & all this is just disrespect & they're not gonna be making alot of money off of this movie because all of the real aaliyah fans wont be there so they should just stop now while they can, they dont deserve a penny off of this movie & they definitely wont be getting that from me ! beyond upset & disappointed #RIPBabyGirl ♡

no one loved Aaliyah more then her family, her mother and brother, they should defiantly run every thing about the biopic, they should have been there to help choose who pertrays her, and they should have a lot to say about what is shown and what is not shown. It is very disrespectful not to have them be apart of this, do you really want a repeat of the left eye incident with the family ?

Although Zendaya is an amazing actress, Aaliyah is someone that is close to all our hearts. The fact that she is gone is a wound for us, her fans and her family. how can you produce a biopic without the family's involvement? they were the ones who helped to make Aaliyah the person she was and the inspiration to her fans. If the family was involved, zendaya you would have had all blessings but since they weren't, YOU as a fan who is inspired by her, should not be involved. That's her legacy that people who didn't grow up with her will know, they should have a chance to really get to know her and not some assumptions of what producers see of her.
