I love Aaliyah and I would love to see a storyvabout her however her family should have had some information and input about her life story.

I loved aaliyah songs, and her as an actress. it's horrible that when doing a movie on someone it seems that is they r deceased you would consult with the family to ensure they agree on what is being petrayed. now the lead actress that they have cast to play her part is a great singer, actress herself BUT I don't think she will do aaliyah the way we all knew,.loved, miss and respect. no disrespect to zendanya sorry for the misspelling of her name..

Don't disrespect Aaliyah's family like that. Without their confirmations, you may get things wrong about her life. Do you really want that type of reputation for your work? Do you really want to disrespect Aaliyah like that?

This is beyond distasteful, disrespectful, and a purely $$ driven venture. I can't believe Zendaya would associate herself with such a project. SAD, in every way, SAD that Lifetime would stoop so low, SAD that Zendaya would associate herself with a project more worried about the bottom line than the memory of a beautiful soul, and SAD that the family has to fight to protect Aaliyah's legacy!

What life time is foing is wrong an greedy . They not doing it for aaliyah they are making this biopic for more veiwers an more money . Its plain wrong aaliyah's mother an rashad should have been notified 1st .. I really hope this movie is not produced an as much as i like zendaya i dont think she fits the role as aaliyah... just my opinion -Shatice B

its not fair.. its not up to lifetime to make a biopic of aaliyah. Its up to her family an if approved by fans also ... what they are doing is unfair an i see it as a way to get more veiwers for their channel an more money. I hope aaliyah's mother an rashad both get justice an this film be rejected .. love you aaliyah ... she was a true angel ..i named my daughter after her

Aaliyah was a beautiful brown-skinned Black American woman. Find another beautiful brown-skinned woman to play her life, there are PLENTY to choose if you actually look with singing, dancing and acting abilities. ENOUGH with the white-washing of our people and culture, I don't care if that zendaya chick is half black, she looks more white than black. Black people will speak and stand up for what is right.

Family Over Everything. Aaliyahs Family should be the ones who say when a movie should be aired and or recorded about their daughter and no one has the right to do something they do not approve of.

This young lady is not a good fit to play Aaliyah! Secondly Aaliyah is worth the main screen a big movie in the theaters not a Lifetime or VH1 film! They need to do better casting for it as wel! Her fans are still growing strong and we are against this as well as her family!!!
