the family is not happy about this. I recently talked to one of the family members and they were hurt in tears so I suggest they stop the film and I pray that Aaliyahs family do everything they can to block this movie

At first I was all with this and happy about it but you are going about it in a very disrespectful way plus Zendaya really thats a no no. If you aren't going to do it right don't do it at all it would just be messed up and unfair to her family and fans. And Anyway don't you need info from her close family and friends to have an accurate movie. Sorry but vh1 you are not Lifetime stick to what you know.

If her family wasn't involved then its just not right. Its not going to even be GREAT because they didn't have family insight. & I didn't want Zendaya to play her AT ALL .

Although I would love to see a movie based on Aaliyah's life, I feel it's wrong to not consult the family about the project. It's disrespectful!

I have always wanted an Aaliyah biopic to be made or a posthumous album. However this is just disrespect. If this was to go through, I will not be watching.
