I personally am a huge fan of lifetime but since hearing of this im not so sure of i support their autobios about others anymore because there could be more in which have not had the consent of them productinh and autobiography.

I hope this movie does not get made with out the blessing of Aaliyah's family. Lifetime is beyond wrong to be so disrespectful not to even ask her family. Aaliyah passed, god bless her soul, in 2001! Why wait 13 years not to even respect her mother, brother & family enough to ask permission?!?! I'm confused. Life time producers, how would you feel?!?!

She was so close to her family and loved them more than anything.She would've never wanted her family to be disrespected or hurt like that! And we as fans should know that and stop people who are trying to make money of our babygirl.

If the people that were the closest to her have no part in this movie how do we even know it's accurate? It makes no sense no to mention just the worst form of disrespect I've ever witnessed. Especially if her mom and brother want no part in it. Zendaya I'm a fan but if she takes this role I'm sorry but not really. I won't be anymore. She is beautiful and very talented. Your talent will speak for itself. In all honesty, is this how you would want your story to be told? There will be other roles. Just not this one. It's not right. And just to be clear my problem isn't with zendaya play on aaliyah. It's because her mom, brother, or closest friends have no say so in the movie. Vh1 documentary will be more accurate than this so say movie. Just sad!!!!_
