They never contacted any family and is said that this Zendaya girl will be doing all the singing and not using Aaliyah's voice???? How can you tell a life story about someone not talking to the family or using her own music? ?? It's already bad enough that they doing Whitney Houston movie which they gonna tear that up they don't need to mess with #BabyGurl!!! #RespectHerLegacyAndFAMILY! !!

We all know and love Aaliyah as a very talented artist but to her family she was a daughter sister and niece so they have a lifetime of memories about her so it's only right to respect the family's wishes. If it was your child and a movie studio just wanted to exploit your child in a way that you wouldn't want to see how would you feel. This is why they never made a movie about the supremes because Diana Ross never wanted it....Dream girls is just a watered down version but not the actual story of The Supremes!

As a mother I understand her loss, I watch my mother continually Grieve for her child my only and eldest sister, the key word is RESPECT! RIP Aaliyah!

it's just plain wrong in the current state. yes, i would be very happy to see something like this, but not the way it's handled like they don't care about anything. hopefully, it can be approved at a later time & also with a better actor, too

I would like Amina butterfly to play Aaliyah's part in a movie or someone that resembles her and can sing. But if and when the family is ready and would like to. Another thing is Aaliyah's bio should be on a bigger screen than lifetime. I mean .... Nobodies are able to have their story done on lifetime. And she was a big star!!!!
