This proposal has all of the qualities of an untreated venereal disease--no matter how many times you cry "I DON'T WANT THIS!" it just seems to keep reappearing, more painful than before.. I'm not in favor of a single thing this road extension would cause--from an increase in traffic and polution in my front yard to even higher taxes to live in Lake County. I moved out of Cook County to get AWAY from this kind of strong-arming, politically-motivated population congestion. WHY DO YOU KEEP SHOVING THIS IN MY FACE? "No" means NO and it will STILL mean "No!" six months from now! Why not expand Route 12 to meet up with the HIGHWAY in Wisconsin, the way road expansion was planned before 53 became the political cause celebre? That I'd get behind.

Following the Northern Route 53 path along Routes 83 and 120 does not decrease the HUGE traffic congestion that currently exists. "They" say there WILL be tolls on Route 53! I'm still waiting for the "temporary taxes/tolls" to end on existing Expressways! STOP this foolishness!

Keep Rt. 53 a Freeway, as is!
