This project makes absolutely no sense. Where did this come from? There are so many negatives to this project and very few positives.

I grew in Temple Terrace all of my life, and specifically off of North Riverhills Drive along the river. I have grown up with family and friends all over the area ranging from Temple Terrace proper to Busch blvd and Davis Rd., and there was no reason for any connection over the river and there still no need for it now. It will not grow Temple Terrace, it will only affect it negatively. Whoever is recommending this does not live in that area of Temple Terrace proper and has no clue on the relationship of houses on the river and the implications of opening traffic from the other side of the river would cause. This project shows complete ignorance for the lack of understanding for the city’s needs and the how to improve Temple Terrace for future residents. This project should not only be removed from consideration, and should not be wasting taxpayers time and money to even consider. Even worse, attempting to use taxpayers money to actually fund this wasteful project when there is so much more direly needed in the city. Just as embarrassing as the worthless, unneeded statue sitting in the downtown development. Get your act together Temple Terrace, this is embarrassing.
