stop the river invasion

I don't think this bridge is a necessity for our community.

No pressing need is apparent for such an expenditure and pathway--for commerce, transportation, or any other community services. Such a bridge could all too easily create public safety issues, providing a largely hidden way of access to and escape from residential neighborhoods. I am strongly against Temple Terrace's going along with this proposal. The county has many far greater needs on which to spend taxpayer money.

No cart bridge across the river at Whiteway Drive!

This bridge will have a negative impacts on Temple Terrace. I vote NO!!!

As I understand it from discussions years ago, this bridge has been in the planning for years but has been opposed by 2 sitting council members, at the time, as it would encroach on their property. Can't say I blame them. But more so, exactly who is the bridge for? Seems golfers, walkers, bikers would need to come down from Fowler to access the bridge, so they can just use the Fowler bridge. We have so many more highly urgent needs in this city, a new bridge in an isolated atea, that does not serve greater Temple Terrace, is so unnecessary. Let's get busy attracting new businesses, that are not a restaurant, beauty shop, cell phone shop, etc. I am sick and tired of leaving my own town to shop!

I have been researching this proposal and can’t find a single good reason to build this project, but find many negative possible consequences, the most important to me is the impact on our natural resources, the River, and the wildlife. There is no upside of this project to the environment or the ecosystem. None. No one that I can find is presenting an argument for this project so it would be interesting to hear from T.T. City Council what their arguments supporting it. I have not heard a single argument advocating for this yet, which leaves me to suspect the real reasons behind this project is for someone with City Council Clout to make money as a result. Some builder perhaps that want to turn this property into a development (apartment, mobile home park or low income housing)!with easy access to everything on the other side of the River. I have no proof, just a strong suspicion.

No bridge

it is interesting that Mr. Rimbeys hatred for all things Temple Terrace is greater than his alleged restoration and environmental principles. This bridge was a bad idea when it was proposed by Florida College and it's a bad idea now. Race baiting and name calling by Mr. Rimby doesn't make him right, just further proves his shallowness and hatred of our city.

Not necessary. Money should be used for more worthy transportation projects in Temple Terrace.

Let Publix pay. They have plenty of .oney for politicians.

A bridge for golf carts? No thanks.

I’m sure there are much better uses for our tax dollars than a bridge for golf carts. I also believe that this bridge will prohibit local water crafts from there destinations, and create access to people with with bad intentions.

Leave the river and its banks alone. We already have 3 large bridges across the river at Fletcher, Fowler, and Busch(Bullard) The proposed new bridge would devalue the area homes and decrease the serenity of the area. And for what?

Please find a better use for this money. I didn’t support this tax increase and now see our taxes paying for unnecessary projects.

Bridge is unnecessary

Not needed. Leave the river alone.

This is a waste of money and labor. There is no need for this bridge. Just walk like the rest of us.
