This is one of the craziest things of ever heard of - putting potentially dangerous people so close to a girl's school. Total insanity!!!

This is an inappropriate and unwelcome facility for our neighborhood.

It is not a good thing for the neighborhood to put this detox center in NMB. Children will be afraid to ride their bicycles. I, myself, a senior citizen will be afraid to walk alone as I do often. And, as you know, there are many senior citizens living in this immediate area.

I am against the zoning passing the plans to open a large 60-bed drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation and detoxification center in North Miami Beach where there are 5 schools within 5 blocks. Please reconsider passing these plans at this location. Thank you. Jack Weitz

Please don't open the detox center in that location.

My daughter goes to school in that area and I feel it would be unsafe to have people undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation to be in such close proximity to a school environment. Please find another place where school children can possibly be at risk.

I strongly believe that opening a rehab center in such close proximity to schools is beyond detrimental as is to the the community as a whole.

We don't want this in our community.

I have lived here for 26 years; this must be maintained as a safe residential community and the detox facility should locate elsewhere.

That is unfair and unhealthy for the children please reconsider your sight.

It is unacceptable to house such a facility in a crowded neighborhood, in close proximity to schools. While the need for rehab centers may be great and there is certainly money to be made by some, that is no excuse to compromise the safety and security of the community. This plan should be summarily rejected.

This is a real need; the proposed location, though, is not the right place for it. What is the reason for considering the proposed location?

Please do not build the facility so close to the school.

I live a few blocks away. I am strongly opposed to this facility being located here, me and others would consider leaving the community if this happens and moving elsewhere.

Detox patients are dangerous individuals always after money to buy the expensive medications which are also addictive to detox
