The Nevada Board of Education is set to implement unprecedented mandates on all Nevada public schools.
The Nevada State Board of Education is currently considering adopting and implementing regulations that could force all Nevada schools to allow bathroom and locker room use based on gender identity, rather than biological reality. This means that biological boys would be allowed into the girls’ bathroom and locker room, and vice versa, simply based upon professed feeling.
These regulations would also mandate classroom activities that promote the idea that gender is fluid. These regulations are an invasion of physical privacy as well as an assault on the freedom of parents to teach their children about these sensitive issues at home. The Department of Education is inserting itself where it does not belong.
The Nevada Department of Education is listening to the ACLU and other activist groups and trying to push their progressive social agenda on our schoolchildren. The proposed regulations deprive local schools of the ability to find solutions that work for all students-instead imposing a one-size-fits-all-policy dictated by those with an agenda to push.
We, the undersigned, believe that every Nevada student, including those who identify as transgender, is entitled to a good education, to protection against bullying, to the freedom to speak their mind, and to have their privacy honored by the school. Unfortunately, the current proposed regulations are not about protecting student rights, but about trampling them. We are urging the Nevada Department of Education to withdraw the far reaching proposal and asking them to ensure that all regulations adopted by the Nevada Department of Education promote local control and protect the privacy rights of all students.

im still reading through all the messages you guys are sending me and its clear im not the only one worried about these new mandates. im working on getting a group together to go to the next board meeting and push back against this in person.

just saw we hit 100 signatures. honestly didnt think this would pick up steam so fast but its clear im not the only one worried about these school policies.

This is going to extremes. What about the other children. Whatever happened to modesty and privacy. This violates the rights of normal children. Think how uncomfortable they would feel if a person born a boy uses the girls bathroom, and visa versa. Not acceptable at all.
Dear Sir: I urge you to reschedule the meeting for a time when the public can attend and have their voices heard. There is an obvious need to involve all voices, not just Gender Justice.
It is ridiculous that this is even an issue there’s two bathrooms already one for girls one for voice that’s all that’s necessary if you wish to make something and make a family bathroom and let them use that
As a student currently enrolled enrolled in a CCSD school I am strongly asking you to NOT allow this to happen in our schools. We should promote the safety of ALL students, not just a portion. Thank you for your time and please consider our voices.
Nevada/CCSD Is at the bottom of education ranks & they want to waste their time on this BS?! LISTEN TO THE PARENTS that have been attending all these uneseccary meetings, STOP IGNORING the community and DO YOUR JOB.

Stop!! Do NOT put our children at risk. Parents have a right to know. I will not let my children go to school in Nevada if this is implemented!! I will home school or move out of state. Protect our children and parental rights. Do NOt let this happen.
