This is outrageous. Wishing the young man the very best as he recovers from this trauma. Law enforcement throughout the country needs to institute deep meaningful anti-racist training. There needs to be accountability measures with severe consequences to inhibit the such behavior while the extensive long term work of anti racist training progresses.

As I read this and know what has happened to this beautiful and talented black boy, I am equal parts rage and despair. I am signing this petition in hopes that we can move forward and out of both destructive mindsets.
