Stop the Proposed Water Park at Naples Grande Hotel

As a resident of the Naples Cay community, I’m not opposed to thoughtful growth—but I am opposed to development that fundamentally alters the character, safety, and livability of where we call home. The proposed Naples Grand Water Park raises serious concerns that go beyond preference and into long-term impact.

We do not need a water park!

- the difference between Ritz Tiburon and Hyatt Coconut Pointe having a 1,000 buffer between their water park and off-property residences, and this one having less than 50 ft. This 60 ft tall waterslide will be less than 50 feet from Seagate Road. What an eyesore in our community. Also noise and parking concerns. - it’s not just for hotel guests as they pitch it; they’ll sell tickets to the public. - the hotel has already struggled to meet the demand for parking spaces. Which makes me wonder. . . Does this mean the non-hotel water park visitors will park in the Clam Pass public beach parking lot next door, intended for those using the public beach, and then walk to the water park, thereby precluding beachgoers from being able to park and enjoy the beach? Probably. My issue with this is our tax dollars pay to maintain this parking lot but it will benefit Naples Grande as overflow parking. And it will certainly displace beachgoers trying to park there. - there will be 100 public address speakers at the site; surely with the water park being less than 50 ft. from non-hotel property, the sound will carry. - the permeable tennis courts would be paved with a non-permeable surface (or be swimming pool water) which cannot absorb flood water and will displace it to the surrounding area during a storm surge or nuisance flooding.

I am a subcontractor for the company. I have a lot of insight info, this would not be good for local residence.

As a father of a local 4y old. This will disrupt the entire area, including Seagate Elementary, parking at Clam Pass will be affected, traffic, etc. For anyone pushing for these developments, I agree we need more family and kids friendly places like this, however not at this location. Please vote against.

Naples needs more family-friendly environments. It is a blessing that this is being brought to the North Naples community. Full Speed ahead!!

Owner at 222 Harbour Drive. Walk at Clam Pass 3x every week. This development and its knock-on effects will ruin the Park. I am strongly opposed.

Not acceptable for Naples and our community.

Traffic and parking are miserable today.

Please do not allow the development of this water park. It will have a detrimental effecter on the entire area.

the proposed water park would negatively affect the neighborhood with schools and churches. It seems more appropriate for some carribean island Definitely not for Naples and we will know who voted for the interest of Naples citizens and who voted for big corparations desires

This development is completely inappropriate for a residential community with an elementary school and two churches.

We do not want a waterpark in our residential neighborhood
