Stop the proposed closure of Uxbridge College Nursery
Uxbridge College have had nursery, on the Hayes Campus site for nearly 20 years. Over the years it has cared for hundreds children, belonging to staff and students as well as children from the local community.
If the proposed closure of this nursey goes ahead, the community will lose 52 nursery places, which there is already a shortage of in this area, (especially for the under 2's) and 19 members of staff will lose their jobs.
The building the nursey is housed in was purpose built in 2004,it has its own kitchen, underfloor heating, it has 4 seperate rooms (for the different ages) and each room has access to a garden.
We need to change the Governers minds about this closure, if the nursery closure goes ahead, it will have a great impact on the current and future staff and students of Uxbridge College and the local community
