I just saw the number hit one hundred and honestly my coffee is cold because I have been staring at the screen for way too long. It is just incredible seeing people actually care about the air here and I keep thinking about how we used to just accept the smoke as part of life but now we are clearly done with that.

What or how shall we tell our children and grand children when they follow the common behavior of allowing pollution of their own place. I can tell you they will have no respect for our collective cowardness and being chained to a economical lie.
Curaçao, lees de regering moet beseffen dat de toeristische sector samen met ecologie en haar omgeving de rode draad is van de economie zodat een opwaarts vooruitzicht voor het eiland Curaçao gegarandeerd is! Stop de vervuiling van de ISLA en zorg dat het bedrijf de milieu wetgeving naleeft.
Ik ben een beetje astmatisch en angst voor de vieze uitstoot van de Isla was een belangrijke reden om de uitnodiging om naar Curacao te komen af te slaan. Ik hoorde ook dat mensen worden ontmoedigd om zonnepanelen aan te schaffen. Hoe dom kan een eilandbestuur zijn.
last van geirriteerde ogen en permanent ontstoken / rode oogranden. Kan vaak na 17.00 uur niet buiten zitten door stank, Porchmeubels en houtwerk zitten onder geel/groene aanslag. Plakkerig aanslag op waslijn. Bel regelmatig met ISLA of GMN bij extreme overlast. Kort lontje gekregen door frustratie!!!!
their should be a way to get rid of the pollution. Otherwise how is it possible that the refinery of Pernis can function in the middle of Rotterdam?

Mi ke air limpi den mi kas! We weten dat mensen dodelijk ziek kunnen worden van de kankerverwekkende stoffen die dag in en uit over onze wijken worden gestort. Maar op Curaçao -waar je zelfs geen AIDS-remmers kunt verkrijgen- is een mensenleven niet zo belangrijk. Of wel?!
