The main attraction to New Hartley for me is that it's a small village with a small friendly community. I feel this will be destroyed with the extra development. The traditional and historical feel will be lost as we are slowly becoming a large estate of lego houses instead of greenery and wildlife.

I grew up, from 7yrs old, in New Hartley. The ponds and open fields were lost to the Brambles, the estate opposite The Hastings arms took away natural play areas. The latest development at Seaton Delaval is basically going to turn New Hartley into a suburb of Seaton Delaval (like Holywell became) and likewise New Hartley will end up as part of Seaton Sluice. Soon the entire area of Blyth, Cramlington, Seaton Sluice and New Hartley will be one sprawling housing estate.

Our village will struggle with the extra traffic the building works will cause and as public transport etc isnot being improved, what is the benefit for the village? Our school is already full too.

Our horses will lose their homes as they graze this land, the village will become very unsafe for ALL road users

Our school is already to small for the children that currently live in New Hartley and our roads are not suitable for hundreds of extra cars! Do not destroy this village!!!

Having lived in this lovely little village for over 20 yrs we are devastated at the plan to build over 280 houses on. Greenfield site. There are endless reasons not to do this.the infrastructure of the village will not support the development one road in one road our, our lovely village school will struggle to deal and cope with extra children and standard will be affected

Keep our beautiful village as it is, it can't sustain a 45% increase in new houses, people are losing their livelehoods, not to mention the effect on the wildlife
