I worked with Cecil on many occasions. He was by far one of the greatest leaders of the black community.

During my days as a doctoral student at Temple University, I always felt great pride while walking on Cecil B. Moore Avenue, which honors the legacy of the civil rights leader whose name it bears. What possible reason could justify changing its name?

This community has a lot of history and historical value. To change this community name is an insult to all the people who fought and died to protect this community.
