I have many childhood memories, walking and playing on the 'Fairy Path' it should not be re named!!

Always will be the Fairy path. If you want something named after Prince Philip, it should be a street or a road, not a path down the hill.

Its always been the fairy path in my lifetime, I grew up on the promenade and used it on a daily basis for years. Nothing against the Royals, I have the utmost respect for our Royal Family, but this is a local path used by local people, and will always be the fairy path. Some wonderful people have used their own time and money, decorating this path for the children of Maryport and visitors alike. Don't spoil this, please!

This path already has an old, well loved name. Rename something else!

Its always been the fairy path in my lifetime, I grew up on the promenade and used it on a daily basis for years. Nothing against the Royals, I have the utmost respect for our Royal Family, but this is a local path used by local people, and will always be the fairy path. Some wonderful people have used their own time and money, decorating this path for the children of Maryport and visitors alike. Don't spoil this, please!
