Did you know that in the past decade, 7 innocent racehorses have died in the Melbourne Cup? These horses are dying for our pure entertainment, and it has to stop now.
By the end of the race, horses are bleeding from the mouths, suffering from excessive whipping and careless riding. Do you want this to continue?

I have been reading through your comments all morning and the heartbreak in these stories is overwhelming. It is clear that so many of you feel the same heavy weight in your chest when you think about these horses. We are not going to let them pretend this is just a harmless day of fun while animals suffer behind the scenes.

Seeing this groundswell of support is deeply moving because I cannot stop thinking about the beautiful horses who have lost their lives in this race. Your commitment to ending this cycle of cruelty proves that we are finally refusing to accept this violence as normal. We have created real momentum and I am more determined than ever to stop this tragedy for good.

The horses of the Melbourne Cup should not be nameless animals that people forget the next day!
These precious, beautiful horses who have been bred for money making and entertainment purposes are born to run free and to bring pleasure and companionship for us all, and for them to enjoy the true companionship between horse and friend ( rider). If you’ve ever looked into the face of these beautiful creatures and seen their eyes soften as they acknowledge you or to hear them whinney when they hear your footsteps you will never abuse them again and that is why we support this great freedom cause - the gentlest of friends who are totally in our hands to love and cherish; please consider - thank you
Too many of these precious animals are dying to satisfy our need for entertaining ourselves - and making money. It’s like the Gladiators in the Coliseum in Rome - a spectator sport where death can happen.
Horses are suffering, only because we don't see them as lives too. We need to treat them like people.
As a proud horse owner, I do not approve of this and could never imagine doing any of these actions to my horses.
We need to stop this, as a proud vegan I do not approve.
