With all the development in Bloomfield, our area roads are going to be seriously overtaxed with traffic, roads that are already in embarrassingly bad shape. This is a bad idea.

I sincerely hope that this idea does not go beyond this stage. I also sincerely hope that if it does it is put to a town vote the same way the turf decision was done. The long term impact of this kind of a change would be very detrimental - and rental properties would do little to raise the tax base.

I am against this development ...it will cause us a tax increase to add to our schools, police force and etc. It will change the landsscape of our beautiful town.

The creation of 59 housing units--with 109 parking spaces--will irreversably damage the character of Glen Ridge. Claiming affordable housing as a just cause for the development of this mega complex is a red herring meant to sway one's sense of morality toward saying "yes." I am for the incorporation of affordable housing in Glen Ridge, however, there are many more creative ways to address this issue--ways that adhere to the character of the town rather than destroying it. The swelling in traffic will create a congestion as well as a safety issue in this otherwise pedestrian-friendly area. If the effort is to create more commuter-accessible housing for people who want to use the Bay Street Station--which is in Montclair--then they should look in Montclair, not Glen Ridge. We must see this attempt for what it is: a capital-driven private developer forcing its agenda. It is not a noble cause and will yield little if any gain for the township or its taxpayers.

Our trains are standing room only now and only bi- hourly on the weekends. We will be on infrastructure overload with this addition.

This kind of development is antithetical to the type of community planning that Glen Ridge has carefully fostered and maintained over decades. Our fantastic zoning, historical society, etc. have created a unique and beautiful town. It takes only a few decisions like this to begin down a slippery slope which is irreversible.

I oppose the construction of this complex. We don't have the resources to support it.

I do not support this type of development. I'm especially opposed to the effect that such a monstrous infrastructure could have on the size of the classes at our schools.

I am strongly opposed to the density of the proposed development in our community.

I do not support this development and feel that our resources for both the school and town are already stretched way too thin.

The town does not appear to have the infrastructure to support this potential added burden. Seems like a greedy idea With poor long term thought.

The historic committee should not approve of a development like this. Adding 59 units would tax the resources of the schools and borough. The schools are already packed and there isn't room for this kind of growth.

Our town is too small and does not have enough resources to absorb this increase in residents.
