Genetically improved products are short lived just as they take a shorter time to grow, but cannot give offsprings that can be re-planted or reproduced. we are going to kill the sustainability of the subsistence farmer who cannot afford purchasing seeds at every planting season. i strongly object its introduction. it is only for the myopic people and greedy ones who are beneficially to the process of their introduction because of the financial gains.

Anything that manipulates nature is not worth adopting. GMOs is something that is against humanity and i think am tempted to think that any one promoting them is doing it for selfish reasons.

The world produces enough food to satisfy human food needs. We therefore need a legal, economic and political framework to address issues of distribution and justice. Introduction of GMOs will make people dependent on a technology whose safety is still under scrutiny and which they cannot control

uganda is a beautiful country. my sons father is ugandan. when i first visited i thought it was the garden of eden...and ugandans i met funny, clever, creative and eating the most delicious healthy tasty food. farmers are suffering everywhere genetic foods have been introduced. do not let big business ruin your lives and health. chief execs of these companies will be feeding their families organic, non genetically modified food. their intention is to make money . they do not care about your well being, your health or natural wealth. they will make your pearl as lustre less as a scuffed scarred plastic bead. money in the bank...but your beautiful hone will be broken. all for greed. lead atge way in eco farming, organic, sustainable. you can do this. you have the natural resources and passionate, skilled, creative ugandans to do this. show the rest of the world how we to live in harmony.

I ask the Government of Uganda to do the right thing and protect the rights of Ugandans by with drawing the bad draft Bio Safety Bill, until such time as a suitable Bill , which regulates Gmo,s and other bio technologies, instead of promoting them can be put in place. A Bill simpler to the likes of the Tanzanian Bio safety and technology Bill.
