Stop the UNSAFE bus station in downtown Novato at Redwood and Grant

I happen to be a daily commuter on.buses and feel this is WAY to much traffic and would make downtown less safe for my family, let alone ruin the quaint feel that is the remaining charm of living in Novato. We do not need the extra traffic.

Please use the City Council and SAFE 2010 Redwood bus stop now to handle current needs and safety issues. Stop the UNSAFE design declared UNSAFE by 106 bus dtivers.

bureaucratic chauvinism plain and simple

At no time have I seen or heard mention of pedestrian safety, in the new design, concerning expected vehicle direction of travel. In foreign countries, that have vehicles driving on the left side of the road, it presents a danger to visitors from countries that drive on the right side of the road. Expecting bus traffic from the left as you enter the terminal area would be normal but with this bad design the buses will be coming from the right, I fear that pedestrians will be in great danger.

We must ask ourselves, "Where do their loyalties lie?"

This is indeed a waste of taxpayer money when you consider that the transit need is for 6 buses/hr. Which year are we expecting 60 buses/hr in downtown Novato station?

Bad idea. Keep redwood trees on Redwood Bl.

The design is completely inappropriate for Novato, and I strongly object to the tree removal.

A well thought out plan would save the trees. Killing trees is not okay just because you are city council.

Collectively we can move mountain!!

I already have problems with the current bus stop. I've almost been hit 2 times by buses pulling out and not paying attention to moving traffic. The stations should be moved to the open space past trader joes
