This article sums up what I already knew! The late Whitney Houston's family is not supporting Lifetime's highly anticipated biopic on the legendary singer. On Tuesday, Whitney's mother Cissy Houston told ET exclusively that the family is "exhausted" by the "continuing misinformation and comments offered by people who did not know her," and pleaded with fans to "please let her rest." "Lifetime has chosen to go ahead with the movie about Whitney in spite of my family's objections. No one connected with this movie knew Whitney or anything about her relationship with Bobby," she said in a statement to ET. "In the two years since Whitney's death, many people have stepped forward to speak about their close relationship with her. I find it difficult to believe people who knew and supposedly loved her would participate in a movie about her done by folks who didn't know her. We are exhausted by the continuing misinformation and comments offered by people who did not know her. Please please let her rest."

Whitney was, is, and FOREVER be an icon. A Lifetime made for tv movie is an insult to her legacy. Show some respect to her, her family and friends, and her fans and cease production of this biopic.

This movie is totally disrespectful to the Late Whitney Houston, Robert "Bobby" Brown, their Daughter Bobbi Kristina, all of Bobby's other children, Whitney' mother Ms. Cissy Houston, her brothers,Bobby's siblings and the entire Houston/ Brown Families, their friends and Fans. The approval is not being respected or seeked from these key Essential persons. Angela Bassett and Lifetime please reconsider delay and consult.

All of the above reasons. I'd rather remember my all time favorite artist with the memories of song through her albums and movies she was in. The wounds are still too fresh for those that really knew her as a person rather than just a mega superstar. We should also show respect to Whitney's greatest gift, Bobbi Kristina and respect the wishes of the family. If a movie should be ever be made about her, make it with good taste and with the blessing of not only the Houston family, but to the Brown family as well.

Stop this movie, we love Whitney for Whitney. She LOVED Bobby, & that's good enough for me. RWG !

This is not a film that should be made. Nobody knows about the personal lives of Whitney and Bobby. This is a film upsetting to not only their fans but their family!
