Stop the Lynnhurst Plan! No New Traffic at 51st & James Ave.

This whole business with the Parkway a "solution searching for a problem" This absolutely BEGS the question of WHEN will our city depts begin operating under the CITY ADOPTED IAP2 methods of public engagement? The City has invested a great deal if money to install this program, send city staffers to its expensive trainings. An yet ~ the city continues to institute top down policies with no public input~ and ignores said input when (under duress & on their own) people organize- collect signatures & data on their own! Attn city of mpls~ memo to All depts.. Your citizens are NOT children and we do not appreciate being treated as such! Work with us. And stop "solving problems" where none have BEEN IDENTIFIED by those who live there and would know! Plenty of REAL problems are there for you to deal with ~ WITH THE ASSIST of local communities. It is not that hard. Please. Stop ruining things that work! Focus on what doesn't! Thank you

Very tired of council members especially in the 11th ward not listening to their constituents.

Please do not proceed further with the current plan where proposed changes in the vicinity of Minnehaha Parkway and 50th St. in Minneapolis would add traffic and noise level to 50th/51st St. and James Ave. S intersections. It is very risk-prone approach given already busy area next to Mt. Olivet Church, music classes and K-5 Burroughs school and is not conducive for proceeding with current proposal.

I strongly oppose this plan. It is wrong for so many reasons. Please do not do this.

Please stop this plan disregarding the purpose of residential streets. If the Board would spend some time in our area you’d see that this is a dangerous plan.

I strongly oppose this plan. We have young children and walk to Burroughs daily. It's already not safe at 51st and James Ave where many children are trying to cross here during busy times of day because of the elevated bridge and no stop sign for southbound traffic.

I am strongly opposed to all the proposed closures of sections of the Minnehaha creek parkway.

I strongly oppose the park boards plan on W. Minnehaha Parkway. I believe cars can coexist with the beautiful parkway setting. By diverting traffic, the increased volume will create dangerous conditions for all who travel in the Lynnhurst area.

I agree 100% with the article connected to this petition, have lived at 5357 james over 40 years have injoyed walking biking and driving the parkway see no reason for change soon I will be too old to bike and walk as much apparently I will be to old or feeble to live in this city excuse me for growing old.

Down with Adam and his plan! You can't make us swallow this pill!

Save the Parkway!

This is a dumb idea; it is more of a solution seeking a problem.

I am against this plan because of safety issues with rerouted traffic, and because it will interrupt the Grand Rounds.

I bike the parkway at least once per week and drive the Burroughs School / Lynnhurst Center area frequently. It works as the Park Board's own data shows. As some others have said, the proposals are a solution in search of a problem. Please don't "fix" what is not broken.

This traffic plan is reckless and does not reflect the needs are liveability of our neighborhood. Maybe you should ban families first before you go about making life unbearable for people who depend on the automobile for living, including people with children. Stop this plan.

100% accurate!

The Minnehaha Parkway is a true gem of our city. It does NOT need to be changed. MPBR, put your funding into something else, something that truly needs improvement.

There certainly is room for improvement everywhere in our lives, but let's not rush into changing things shortsightedly. Is it demonstrably true that the changes being suggested will solve the "problem" the PB thinks it is addressing.
