We should hae the right to decide what school our children attend as well as allow our children to receive scholarships just as graduates of a public school.

My child would be lost in the public system if we couldn't get SUFS. I can say this because she was for the first 3 years of her eduction! Please don't make her suffer because we can't afford proper learning. It's not hers or my fault that the public system let us down even though I was in the school office weekly begging for help!!!

I am so thankful for step up for students scholarship. They help my son continue his education at FCA after my husband lost his job and was unable to pay his tuition. This private school has been so good for my son and i have seen so much growth both academically and confidence. If we had to put him in public school during such tough times i know how much it would have hurt him. They helped up keep the stability for him in such a tough moment in our lives. Please give other kids the chance to achieve more. Please do not take a way a program that is helping so many students who's family can not afford schools like this. Please protect step up for students they are helping so many students!!!!!

Please do NOT take this scholarship away from our children. This gives children without the parents means to get a better education. This would be a grave set back for our youth and basically a tragedy for our children.

to try to get rid of this scholarship is not only a petty thing to do but also a selfish one. i for one am considered below poverty level and public schools didnt help my kids at all. when they needed help due to disabilities all they dis was hold them back a couple times instead of helping them to succeed, the private schools that i can send my kids to thanks to these scholarships really take the time to actually work with and teach them. thay care about my childs education not just them being another number in an already oversized classroom. most of these private schools do not get the funding that public schools do they have to raise it themselves. i feel very strongly that we should be allowed to send our kids to any school that we want regardless of who we are, where we live or what it says on our pay checks. this is the children that are going to suffer the most. i can only speak for me and my family when i say that to basically take away a childs right for a good education is not only wrong but unconstitutional. everyone has a right to a great education not an education others thunk they need but one they want and deserve. what gives anyone the right to tell anyone else what to do with there own kids . leave the scholarship and everyones right to a great education alone.

my son love bein a Christian school. . he gets to pray at lunch and talk about God with out someone telling him u can't do this here.. I told him that he was going to a public school if the step up was goin to be canceled, he was crying and sad since he was 2 years old he bein going to cristian academy. . we have been bless with this help as a single working mom it has help him to be an outstanding child ..and he tells me he goin to be a minister

my daughter attends a catholic private school because of this scholarship. I am a this able nurse and I am on able to work at this time.I have Lupus, severe Chron's disease and connective tissue disorder. I don't understand why such a wonderful opportunity for children such as my daughter is threatened to be taken away. do not make my daughter or any other children that receives this scholarship suffer. Please.

I went to public school most of my childhood life, and I am so grateful for Step Up For Students scholarship that allow my child to have a better education as I did not.

To the Florida Education Association and groups on this suit - shame on you! It is sad to think that these groups have nothing better to worry about. They cannot even keep up with the students they have. Look at the number of schools that are still doing poorly. ANd they want to add more kids to those schools and crush that childs future. It is no wonder nothing gets done about bullying in public schools when the Education system itself is bullying the children who are benefiting from the scholarship. It is not the parents that are benefiting. They simply get to know that they are doing the best for tehir child to make sure he or she has a much brighter future. My child was in a public school and was doing well, but she was not being challenged at all. INstead the teachers were using her as a helper in class. Recess was a joke. If 1 kid misbehaved, recess was canceled for the entire class and tehy were made to walk around the playground so they could see what they could have had. Almost like walking the prison yard. Not to mention the 2-3 hours of homework every night. NO thanks! Our child and and all of our children deserve better than that. Now she is very happy and absolutely loves going to a school where she can grow and learn new things without feeling absolutely miserable. Our younger child would have never done well in a larger class setting so we were quite concerned with sending him to a public school to be thrown to the wolves. THis scholarship has helped make it possible for him to start school and to grow and learn in a wonderful environment without the stress that would have been placed on him in a public school setting with all of the extra work geared towards testing. PLEASE do not punish our children by taking the scholarships away!!
