Stop The Lawsuit Against Florida's Tax Credit Scholarships (Step Up For Students)

my son has a scholarship through this program, and he loves his school, taking the children out of their schools is traumatising, and unfair to the children.

I agree with Sherri, Presently I operate a private school in Marion county, I worked for the public school system for more than 30 years, and for 25 of those years I was a faithful union member and a union rep for 25 of those years. The information that is being given to the teachers is a lie. Private schools do not get the funding the public schools get, yet we work with the students on the same benchmarks and standards. I know that some teachers appreciate the fact that there are other schools that help students learn. Please look at all the angles before condemning a program that helps kids.

I am so thankful fir the scholarship. I have 2 kids an only my husband works. an the scholarship allows my kids to go to a great school. my son had been in same school since he was 4. an the scholarship has helped us so much.

This scholarship has certainly been a blessing in my granddaughter's life. She loves school and looks forward to going each and every day. As a former teacher, I do believe in public school education; however, the changes that have taken place are not in the best interest of the students. Please, please do not punish citizens for their beliefs and give families and single parents a way to educate their children. Do not infringe upon those loving parents who want the best education for their children. A great education should be available to ALL children, not just those that have the income to do so.

The scholarship are a good program for our kids, they wants a good future and scholarships are the opportunity the everyone need to a best country. Please stop the lawsuit. We are thankfully with the scholarship and schools.

I support this scholarship. Living in Florida my children attended public schools and all they learned was math reading and science NOTHING ELSE. Since joining Step Up For Students they finally began to learn!! and are excited doing it!!

My children are recipients of this scholarship. How blessed we are to have such a wonderful opportunity. It's so sad that there has to be a lawsuit regarding this scholarship. I thought the Florida lottery pays billions to public education, yet they still need more. Half of the public schools in Jacksonville Florida are failing schools. I think they need to focus on having more educated teachers, clearly the money is not getting used for this. Yet they want to take scholarship funding. It's clear they are not managing the money now. It's ok let's keep the poor out of private schools. Shame on them,they need Jesus.

I am so grateful that my granddaughter can be part of this scholarship.They should think about more. Education is the future of the nation.

Even with the much needed and appreciated scholarship, I still pay a portion of the tuition to give my child the best opportunity for her future. I support this effort 100%.

I am so very grateful for this program! My two boys would be so devastated if they longer would be able to attend the private Christian School they go to.

this helped my oldest who is majoring as a mechanical engineering at University of Florida. She has as academic scholarship, works and hasn't asked the parents for any financial help. She is a sophomore in college and if it weren't for the step up for students i don't think she would have made it this far. The education she had receive from a private catholic school has made a difference and helped the parents raise a strong and educated child. I am so very thankful for this scholarship we receive. Now I have a 7th, 4th and a pre-K that I need to keep in the Catholic school. Please, we need your help with this scholarship. Please don't take it away. I need my other 3 children have the same opportunity as my oldest has had. Thank you for listening

Thanks to the step up for students 2 of my children would of dropped out if school the public schools would not teach them or listen to what they said my younger son which is I. 3 grade now hated school last year because the school called him dumb and he couldn't do anything now he is in a school he likes and he says he's not dumb and he can do it thank you step up for students

I am not a user of this scholarship but I work at a school that participates in ths opportunity and I see the benefits it brings to the children ~smaller classroom size, supportive values and simplicity.

I can't even begin to say how thankful my family and I are for this scholarship program. If my family and I can help in any other way, please let us know and thank you for such an amazing opportunity for a parents choice school.

Maybe if Florida Public Schools held themselves and the education given to our children to higher standards we would not need to seek better programs and education. Yes my I qualify for assistance on this program, but still pay tuition. Also I am still paying for schools in my property taxes, you don't hear me complaining about that. So if Florida wants all kids in public school, I suggest they need to put on their big girl and boy pants and recognize that if they were doing there job, parents would not be seeking higher education and opportunity elsewhere.
