These organization members that oppose scholarships today. they were once yesterday that went to school as they parents were struggle and used scholarships to make them become the person they are in the society today . interestingly enough, it is them that' s looking to terminate children scholarships. A good Catholic education along with excellent curriculum, dedication, love and affection is what the students receive in a catholic school and private Christian school. The main point is that the child is not only getting a good education but a chance to be in an environment where lean in the class room can take place.. As a former substitute teacher a job that I liked very much, was very difficult because they were not all there to learn . Approximately 85% of the students were very disruptive and rude. Although I was able to turn some of them around it was a constant struggle in the classroom. That is one of the reason why the scholarship program must continue. We will continue the fight for freedom of choice in education.

I worked twenty years for Brevard Schools and I have seen what goes on. All kids deserve a good education, regardless whether it comes from a private or public school. I worked for a Florida public school system for twenty years, this school system is the same one where my kids attended school, and I wish these scholarships were there for my kids. Where Does the Federal Tax Dollars Really Go, What are they not telling us? All public schools receive federal money from the “Impact Forms” that are given to the students during the first week of school. Teachers are pushed by the administration to offer classrooms pizza parties to get these “Impact Forms” turned in. These forms decide how much the public school system gets. Each school system gets a certain amount for each student that registers at a public school, and they get double for any handicapped students that are registered. I worked with handicapped kids and I raised a question one time asking where does the extra money for these handicapped students go? I was told that it was up to the principal where that money went. If the principal decided it was needed in the Advanced Placement classes for students, then that is where it went. Not to the handicapped student that is bringing in this extra money, I ask you who is deceiving the public. Why should the principal decide where money goes? Diane Smith, a Volusia School Board member who is president-elect of the Florida School Boards Association, said she feels the scholarship program creates an "uneven playing field."
