My 7 year old has benifited from this program by getting an education that has assisted him with a one on one education in areas which he was having serious problems. Had it not been for Step up for Students program my son would have been pushed to the back of the class and would have passed frist grade without being able to read because it would have been easier for the public school to pass instead of educate. For all those parents that want the program stopped because they can't be afforded the the program, READ the procedures, and remember the early bird gets the worm, not the one who waits til the last minute then goes hunting. The funds are limited and the Step up for Students program states it very clearly. YOU must complete the forms in a timely manner. It is a great program and keep it in tact.
