I am shocked to see the names of the organizations that oppose Step Up For Students. If it were not for this program then my son would be in public school fighting his way through the day in an overcrowded classroom. It is unfortunate that the school system as a whole is failing our children. I do not blame that on teachers or administrators. But, the system is the system and I am grateful for an alternative. It should not matter that I am poor. My child should still have the opportunity to go to a school where he can have individualized instruction and smaller class size so that he can excel to his full potential.

This has helped my children tremendously!!! We could have never provided superior education for our children without this scholarship!

Step Up For Students is exactly what these low income families need. By giving them a choice in what school they attend, the cycle is broken of them having to attend poor functioning schools or schools located in dangerous areas of their community. Please support this wonderful program!!!

My granddaughter loves to go to her school which happens to be our church school. I am a widow and have custody of her and I also have a special needs son. If I didn't have this scholarship I would not be able to send my granddaughter to that school. Please do not take this from her. Why should she not have what she wants just because someone else has issues about it? She's learning and growing and will one day be an asset to her community. Isn't that what counts? Thank you. Rachael
