Our children enjoy the opportunity provided by Step up. Without it, we wouldn't have a choice.

After moving to Florida from New Jersey my children spent their first year here in the public school system. Everything they went over that year was review, they were at the top of their classes and wasn't getting the education they needed. Being a single mom of two children with nothing but my income I didn't think I could send them to a catholic private school. After speaking with the school, I learned about the Step Up program and the assistance I could receive. For the last two years my children have been getting an education! They are learning, they are challenged and they are happy. I am grateful for the opportunity the Step Up Foundation has given my family ! I am grateful for being able to give my children an education they deserve.

Due to the scholarship my son has a better opportunity to be able to study in a safe environment. He excels in his academics with the help of his teachers.

I think the step up scholarship is a wonderful thing. I don't think they should do away with it. It has been a big help for my daughter.

In my school we have teachers with their teaching certifications and some with a master's degree. Private schools offer small classroom which allows more 1:1 attention. Teacher at private school are happy therefore the students are happy.Don't take away a parent Free choice!

Florida teacher's association and school board association doesn't have the right to try to prevent scholarship for our kids who will be better citizens of the country by getting a better education.

Without Step Up For Students my Grand Children whom I take care of would not be getting the quality of education they are getting. That scholarship is the main reason I am able to have them attend an elite and quality school. My granddaughter went from C&D student to an A student. Please don't take away our hope in our children and the program Thank you

Please don't take the scholarship away! My kids are thriving at the school they are attending, and it wouldn't be possible without this scholarship.

So many families need this for a better education for their children, including mine. If this is taken away, my children will have to leave their school and will be devastated. They love their school and love learning about God. Please don't take this away.

First and for most I would like to Thank Step up for Students, for giving my nine year old daughter Jaylin. The opportunity to go to a private school. If it wasn't for this scholarship program she would've be able to attend. St. Mary Magdalen catholic school. It has always been important that my daughter receives a great education and most Importantly a class where they teach religion beliefs. Our beliefs, it is crucial that she understands her religious back round. Something that public school don't teach. They don't even want kids praying before eating which is important to us that she does in out home. Being able to have this scholarship means the world, I'm a single mom with 2 kids a 17 year old son with a learning disability and my daughter whom excels in all areas. It's been a struggle since we moved from New York. Public school here was not challenging enough for my daughter at all. No homework was given but a math worksheet. The public school here just taught so they can pass that Fcat test. Horrible teachings my daughter goes to a school where they teach them to learn not just to a test. She gets a second language as well. All subjects are being taught. Science, history. All in her last school she never spoke about social studies or science. She was upset that didn't teach science but 3 times out AC the whole year. I spoke to the principle regarding there teachings and she said well this isn't, New York. Believe me I know that! Anyway I can't believe that anyone would want to cut funding from a organization that if feeding into our Future!! These kids are out future why not invest in them!

This Scholarship continues to be a saving Grace for my 8 year old son. Due to his enrollment in an alternative school, his behavior and grades have escalated. And since going to this private school, he has started to confess many bullying situations that he was afraid to admit / expose while in public school. He BEGGED me not to send him back to public school anymore.
