This scholarship has been a huge blessing. My children attend a Montessori school, which is an amazing method of teaching young children with lots of energy.

This scholarship has helped our family so much. The school we chose has helped my children achieve success that they were not getting in public school. They now love to learn and enjoy going to school!

"Choice"...isn't that what we passed in legislature in 1973? Let us now back that up with a real (ethically good) decision for choice!

Our children deserve to have the best education and parents deserve to have choices for their child's education.

It was my son's decision to want to enroll in private school. He said that because he is allowed to pray without being punished for doing so, I knew that I could not afford the tuition costs. However, I did qualify for the Step Up For Students scholarship. This made me happy because he would be able to attend Private school for all the right reasons.

I cannot believe that the teachers would do this to our students. I feel if they were true to what a teacher is that they would be happy that our children are receiving good educations. Also if our public schools were better maybe some of us would choose to send our children there but the truth is our children are just numbers. It makes me think of a bad foster parent that is in it just for the money they receive for each child. My daughter goes to Eagles View for a few reasons. .one they teach the bible about the lord..two.I like how its a much smaller school and she doesn't get lost in the crowd..three the teachers ttruely care and four..she did so well there last year..a's & b's first, second & third nine weeks and straight A's the fourth...without this scholorship I shudder to think what kind of enviroment she would be in. I also do not have to worry about her safety..we all know that our public schools have gone downhill and I do not want my daughter there. I thank God for Step up every night and I am so thankful to all the people and businesses that contribute to this to keep it going. I hope that the teachers ..ppl on the school board will hear their conscious and see that they should be ashamed of themselves for even trying to shut down such a wonderful program.

my son started in public school and it was a nightmare!! he was bullied, picked on by students and teachers, his principal and asst. principal did NOTHING. So I pulled him from the school the last week of classes and qualified for the Step up for Student scholorship!! Thank God for this - he is doing great! His first year in private school was scary for him after what he went thru but he is now adjusted and much happier! If it wasn't for Step Up I don't know what would become of my son.

This has nothing to do with Government. We as the people have the right to donate to any cause we would like. This is just another way for the School Boards to continue to overlook their failing system and place the blame on someone else. Our kids have benefited greatly from this scholarship and LOVE their school that they would not be able to attend on our income. Thanks to the the people (donors) who are making a difference in children's lives.
