My 8 year old attends a wonderful school here in Psl. She had some complications at birth, therefore has some minor disabilities, like Hypotonia, which is aka "low muscle tone". She is also very small for her age, 38lbs which is the average size of an 5yr old. I was very concerned about her going to a large public school & getting "lost in the shuffle". She attends a WONDERFUL Christian private school. This school is also our home church, and because myolder daughter has attended this school since pre-k I am friends with a lot of the wonderful staff at her school. The teachers give my Sophia the extra attention she needs and do not think she would get at a public school due to the large classroom sizes compaired to Morningside Academy. I would not be able to afford to send my daughter to this wonderful school if not for the Step Up program, and it gives me peace of mind that, not only do I know every single teacher there, but I know she is getting the love & extra attention she really does need. Please don't take this scholarship from parents that cannot afford to send their children to the school that they believe, best fits their childs needs. Thank you, Stephanie Vitale-Brown

I am an American mom. It is important to me for my kids to say "The Pledge of Allegiance " and Pray. I find it sad that these kinds of schools are not publicly funded.

I love Step Up for Students. I went to a public school growing up and would never want my kids to go there. My kids get a much better education and in a safer environment

My children have exceeded beyond our expectations. With the scholarship, our children have not only exceeded in academics but also learned about good morals and how to apply them to everyday life. We are proud as parents to send these children out in in the world with these fine standards they have achieved!!! One size education does not fit all !!!!!!

This scholarship has provided great opportunities for many kids that could have been filling our jail now. I have seen complete turn around on many occasions. At the end of the day, it is costing taxpayers less money. I believe it is an excellent tool to use to sharpen our student mind.

It's a shame that these groups are trying to take away something that benefits the future of our children. For those of us who are unable to afford a private school education, Step Up For Students is our saving grace. Why force us to keep our children in the public system when we're trying to make sure they get the best education possible?! Not saying public education is bad, but I want my children to have just as good an education with the same benefits and opportunities as the children who can afford a private education without the benefit of a scholarship. Please find a more worthy cause to fight because this lawsuit makes absolutely no sense!

The Step Up for Students Scholarship has helped our students to great lengths. Without that scholarship 116 of our students would not be able to obtain a great Catholic Education.

Many families and children are not as fortunate as others and withholding good and removing freedom of educational choice in a private environment that allows more one on one attention and can take a child to a higher level should be re-considered.
