Stop The Lawsuit Against Florida's Tax Credit Scholarships (Step Up For Students)

Not everyone can afford to live in a public school district that has A or B rated schools. This scholarship gives families a chance to provide their children with a more structured, nurturing and constructive education when the local community may not be as positive as one would desire.

This is an excellent program that rightfully gives parents a choice regarding their child's education. Moreover, it actully saves the State of Florida money by educating each Step Up student at about half the average cost of Florida public schools.

Stop the lawsuit

Scholarships enable children to attend quality schools where children can excel in academics and not be worried about being bullied and other things.

Support for a democratic legislature and governor will ensure the tax credit scholarships go away. I researched who supports school choice and it is supported by the republican party...not supported by democratic party. The special interest groups are all very partisan (democratic supporting) groups.

I have seen the failure of the public school system all over the place. Deficiencies in Academics, Discipline, Safety, Teacher's passion for the teaching profession, Control of student's easy access to drugs, bullying, discrimination, ... and the list continues. The organizations that oppose educational choice should be spending school's funds in working towards the improvement of their current public school system, and not in legal fees for an irrational and frivolous lawsuit.

This scholarship gives my son the opportunity to get an education he deserves. The last two years that he spent in public school was a waste he did not learn anything new besides what was taught at home. Within six weeks at his new school he has learned 3 years worth of a public school education. The classes in public schools are overcrowded and under taught. The best thing that happened to him was this scholarship.

This particular tax credit scholarship has enabled my son's to excel, not only academically, but also as productive young men in the community. Why do these groups opposing this schlorship think they know what is best for my children? I am not a rich man, but these schlorships allow me to give my kids an opportunity that I alone could not. My son has benefitted from this scholarship for two years now and because of it he can attend a winderful private christian school and have a great and safe education experience.

Step up for Students has allowed my children to have an education that we normally would not be able to provide them. I am very, very thankful!

We love our scholarship! Without it my daughter may not get the benefits of smaller class sizes and more personalized attention that she needs!

This Scholarship has been beneficial for my child's education. It has helped him to gain confidence in what he is able to do with caring teachers in the school he attends.

This lawsuit is horrible. You are trying to take away the only tool I have for my child to excel and exceed in her life. I am a single mother who could not afford tuition otherwise. My daughter is on honor roll and participating in the DUKE TIP program. Her teachers care about her and are able to show her they do. These kids have enough working against them, do they really need this added to it? Please don't be so selfish.
