Our interest is in non-government, non-union, private schools in the United States.

The child should be first, not the teacher's union. There is never enough money for public school, no matter how much you raise it. We save money by paying to the Step Up Program

Please continue to offer Tax Credit Scholarships to needy students. This is the least we can do to help them. Any financial benefit to the state realized by their cancellation would be a penny wise and a pound foolish action.

Please keep the FTE scholarships - I know many families that genuinely have gotten help through this. Their kids are in Catholic schools, getting the morals & values & education they need in a small group setting, to make them better citizens and help our future! I don't have children, but know it would be hard for me to give them an education in a catholic school because of monetary reasons. Even so, I would make all the sacrifices needed to do this. I need to make sure their basic needs are cared for first! Education is a basic need in my opinion, it's not a luxury - equal access for all! Why should my child not have access to a smaller class size, in an environment where they are taught morals & values that are the same as our family? Every parent should be able to choose where their kids go to school - they only want what's best for their child. As a special education teacher, I know the McKay has helped many families from our church have access to a catholic education for their kids. It's a shame that the special need of being a low-income family, not be considered as well. Everyone should have a choice. Thank you and God bless you and yours!

These scholarships are necessary, especially for children to break the cycle of unemployment and poverty.

The only thing that will improve public schools is competition. And on the mean time, children should not have to stay in ineffective schools.

Parents are the best ones to decide where their children will be educated. FTC gives many parents an opportunity to choose what others enjoy because of where they live or how well off they are. The success stories are excellent reasons to preserve Florida's FTC program.
