I am a private school teacher and I have seen first hand how the Step Up and McKays Scholarship Programs have helped many students educationally and personally. The students leaving our schools are better equipped for the real world. They are provided high quality education where "teaching to the test" is not our primary focus. We believe in building characters and teaching citizenship so that students take pride in who they are, where they come from and the country they reside in. In turn, they will be more apt to "make something of themselves" once they graduate from high school. Keep money flowing into the educational system instead of the penal system.

our school depend heavily on this scholarship. This scholarship gives student the opportunity to go to private school who would not otherwise be able to and give them a future to look forward to and become men and women who contributor to our society and our community. These are our future presidents, senators, congression men and woman, house of representatives, lawyers, doctors, etc. If you should go ahead with this action millions of children will not be afforded the opportunity they deserved.

My son has grown since going to private school. With smaller classes, a more hands on experience, my son and I are apart of a school family. This school knows his name not a number.
