I am writing to urgently bring to your attention the alarming escalation of violence in Nepal against peaceful student protesters, primarily from the Gen Z movement, who are advocating for political accountability, youth rights, and climate action.

Situation Overview:

In September 2025, protests organized by students and young citizens have been met with excessive force by government authorities.

Reports indicate that at least 14 students, many in school uniforms, have been killed during these demonstrations.

Protesters were largely peaceful, demanding transparency in governance, better education and employment opportunities, and climate action.

The killings represent a serious violation of human rights, including the rights to life, peaceful assembly, and expression.

Appeal to International Community:
We respectfully urge your organization to:

1. Investigate the incidents and document human rights violations.


2. Call for accountability for the deaths of these students and ensure perpetrators are held responsible.


3. Advocate for the protection of peaceful protesters in Nepal.


4. Provide support and guidance to civil society organizations and student groups to safely continue their activism.
