Stop the Killing of Animals in Pounds
In certain shelters, animals are often killed if they can't find a family in a limited amount of time. Those animals are considered not "lovable" enough because they couldn't find a family. The reason for this, however, is because families are often looking for cute, happy puppies and kittens. Therefore, the older dogs and cats are neglected. They are usually in a grumpier, more frightened state because they've been traumatized after bad incidents. This makes nobody want to adopt them. The result: they are put down. Although shelters don't have the money to expand their cages for more animals, that is no excuse to start putting down animals. Everyone deserves to live, and if they are just taking up to much room in shelter, it is not right to put them down to make more space. Stop this killing of animals.
