Stop the install of traffic lights at Mount Albert & Centre

No lights!

This will make the intersection worse. A Stop sign at Alice & Mount Albert Rd would have tge same effect without tge negative impact on traffic stopping ob tge hill in the winter.

This light will impead traffic flow coming in and out of Mount Albert and will be a danger in the winter because of the steep incline

I have come across intersections in other communities where the uphill section of the road has no stop signs and all other directions have a stop sign. So maybe they should just put a stop sign on the westbound direction of Mount Albert Road? Then the westbound traffic MUST always stop, NOT just when a traffic light is red.

This is just accidents waiting to happen... especially in the winter! Lights would be extremely dangerous at the top of a hill in the middle of a snow storm.

I do not think this is the safest option. Dump trucks will not be able to stop on top of a hill in snow... will cause them to run the light... not safe for anyone

Dumb idea to Install a traffic light on a hill

Do not put lights at that intersection. The winter will be HORRIFIC if traffic lights go in at Mt Albert and Centre street. Very dangerous idea.

Trucks that travel that road. Which are jnvdresased in number due to construction, would likely have issues getting up the snowy hill after stopping for a red light.

As a resident of Mount Albert who regularly drives through this intersection, I strongly oppose plans to install traffic lights here.

I worried about safety in winter too !

I can not imagine a school bus having to stop on that hill in good weather let alone the rain or snow. Please reconsider this choice.

Winter would be a nightmare on the hill

Anyone who thinks this should pass had better be prepared to drive it in a winter storm.

Did anyone think about the trucks (and some cars) that will have a heck of a time in the winter when they have to stop going eastbound on that hill for a red light?! These lights are a terrible idea!

Please reconsider - lights there will not work. Perhaps a three way stop. Let the Eastbound traffic flow freely.

I have lived here all my 71 yrs. and this is the STUPIDEST IDEA ever...not safe and NOT necessary to put a light there. All that is needed (if people think it is needed) is a STOP SIGN for the people heading westbound. There already is stop signs for the south and north bound traffic. Not safe for cars coming up the hill especially in the winter.

Lights at that intersection is completely uncalled for and unsafe. During the winter months it is a difficult hill to navigate let alone stop near the top and get going again. Please for the residence safety, do not install lights there!

put a STOP SIGN for the cars coming west bound and that will do the trick

This is such a bad decision, why were the residents not involved?
